Sometimes, despite the fact that the salon opens at 10am, we are there ahead of time.
You know, to open the register and otherwise get ready for the day.
And most of the time, people insist on calling the salon before 10am.
You know, when we're trying to open the register and otherwise get ready for the day.
The other day, around 9:30am, this crazy woman called me repeatedly, apparently intent on pestering me senseless:
*ring ring*
Good morning, Younkers Hair Salon.
With the 20% off tomorrow, can I use that in the salon?
Which 20% off?
The one in the paper.
A coupon?
Yeah, the coupon in the paper.
If the coupon is for regular priced items, it can be used on any products in the salon.
Can I use it on the shampoo with the tea tree?
Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo? Yes, you can use any 'regular priced items' coupon on salon products.
So, the shampoo?
Yes, the shampoo would be covered by that kind of coupon.
Okay.

Less than two minutes later:
*ring ring*
Good morning, Younkers Hair Salon.
What are the salon hours tomorrow?
We open at 10am, and close at 7pm.
What are your regular hours?
We're open 10 to 7 weekdays, 10 to 5 Saturdays, and closed Sundays.
(suspiciously) The paper says the store opens at 9...
We keep different hours than the store. We're separate.
Oh. Thank you.

And another couple of minutes later:
*ring ring*
Good morning, Younkers Hair Salon.
Sorry to keep bothering you, but my friend wanted to know something...
Honestly, I have no idea what her friend wanted, as I appear to have blocked out that conversation, but it was equally inane.
And the next day, at like 9:45am, when this crazy lady came in and bought her shampoo, I didn't even look at the coupon.
I didn't want to engage the craziness any further.
But upon later examination, the coupon revealed itself to be from the previous week, good only on a different day, and only for clearance or sale priced merchandise.
Carol says that she'll return the shampoo later, because that's what she does. But, I rang it up under her number, so it doesn't really affect me that much.
What's in your head?
